Discuss your options with your treating clinician. They have the most detailed information about your condition and can help you determine your eligibility for a clinical trial. You can print and bring the Navigator list of results matching your search to facilitate the discussion with your doctor.
If you want to enrol in a clinical trial abroad
If the specific trial you are looking for is not available in your home country, you may want to enrol in a clinical trial elsewhere. This is a complex and costly process, and many patients are often unsuccessful in securing enrolment in a clinical trial outside of their home country. The language barrier and cultural differences might be difficult to cope with or even make enrolment impossible.
If you are a resident in the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway (EU/EEA) with healthcare coverage, see the European Commission guidance on Accessing medical treatment abroad – Know your rights and Accessing planned treatment abroad – Your checklist, which are available in multiple languages.
Also see the Myeloma Access Atlas, for information on country-specific access to myeloma treatments.
If you are a patient advocate/patient organisation representative
The Myeloma and AL Amyloidosis European Clinical Trial Navigator is an online platform designed to provide myeloma and AL amyloidosis patient advocates with the information and tools needed to work effectively on clinical trial access issues.
