About the Navigator
The Myeloma and AL Amyloidosis European Clinical Trial Navigator is an online search tool to learn about and find clinical trials for myeloma, monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS), smouldering multiple myeloma (SMM) and AL amyloidosis in Europe. This platform is provided by Myeloma Patients Europe (MPE). It aims to help advocate on an individual or national level for clinical trial access and to support patients and carers to have informed conversations with their healthcare providers about clinical trial options.
The Navigator provides
About clinical research, the different steps of the drug development process and medicine approvals, how to enrol in a clinical trial and what to consider before enrolling
A disease specific search tool
To learn about and find clinical trials in Europe using specific filters such as recruiting status, clinical trial phase, location, type of medicine, randomisation and many more
The Navigator is not meant to provide medical advice nor make recommendations or assumptions of one's eligibility for a clinical trial. This is not a trial matching tool and MPE is not enrolling patients in clinical trials. It is intended to be used as a guide and reference to build the user's knowledge of available clinical trials. Please always consult your clinician for further information before considering clinical trial enrolment.
The Navigator will be available in the following 26 languages: Armenian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Icelandic, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbo-Croatian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish. Soon you will be able to use the language menu to change the language. Languages will be added one by one. Your preferred language might not be immediately available. Note that specific trial information will only be available in English and in the local language(s) of the trial.
The Navigator includes clinical trials taking place in Europe and in countries where MPE has member organisations. Unfortunately, not all countries have ongoing clinical trials, as reflected on the Navigator map.
Our main source of information is clinicaltrials.gov and we also rely on updates from sponsors, hospitals and from our members across Europe. Depending on these updates, the Navigator may not be always up-to-date, despite our best efforts. Moreover, trials for which sponsors have not communicated site information cannot be included in this tool and will not appear on the map nor on the list of results.
Myeloma Patients Europe (MPE) is an umbrella organisation of myeloma and AL amyloidosis patient groups across Europe.
MPE currently has more than 50 members based in more than 35 countries. The mission of the organisation is to provide education, information, and support to member groups and to advocate at a European, national, and local level for the best possible research and equal access to treatment and care, including clinical trials. To achieve its aims, MPE works directly with members, healthcare professionals, reimbursement authorities, regulators, politicians, pharmaceutical companies, and the media to ensure all stakeholders are collaborating to improve patient outcomes and reduce inequalities across Europe.
